Gabrielle Connole is an emerging photographic and performance artist. Currently Melbourne based, Connole’s practice explores notions of human connection to land, community and oneself. Connole creates works that are inspired by the depth of the human spirit, evident in her photographic and performative works Edna 2018, Girls Have Stamina 2018, and South Side Girls 2016. Throughout Connole’s work she explored themes of her childhood in Alice Springs, girlhood to womanhood and family lineage. Connole uses her practice to document and promote authentic connection in the 21st century; believing this work is integral to her own understanding of life.
